Hi all,
I took the test 486 last thursday and I passed it with a score of 72%... I know, the score isnt really good and I expected it to be higher... but you get what you get :-|
Some suggestions (and complaints):
- read the two famous books (UML Distilled and Applying UML), they are both good, I read the UML User Guide as well, which covers a lot more on UML diagrams than the UML Distilled... but it doenst help you much at the exam
- take the ICE exam many times and the read the post with all the answers... it helps a lot
- the exam have quite a number of questions where you have to pick the BEST answer and I found this type of questions very hard: who can be 100% sure of which one is the best answer when they are all correct?
- the questions many times are written in a really weird english and this WILL be a problem for people (like me) that arent english-native... I'm Italian andI live in England, so I speak english every day, but still I had to read some questions 4 times before understanding the meaning!!
- the monitor of the test centre where I took the exam, were small 15" monitors, not good enough when you have to display 2 exhibits and the question!! and each exhibit is bigger that the screen!!!
- it's good the fact that you can mark the questions you want to review at the end and the software tells you which questions you havent answered
Anyway... thanks to all the people that have posted useful comments on this board!!
Ciao
miki

Michele,
Congratulations on passing this test.Wish you would have got better scores!
IMO, you should take these tests as a learning process and not bother much on how much you score.I can tell this because I happen to score something similar to what you scored.
So work hard and do visit th8s forum on a regular basis.
Good Luck,
Sandeep

I seem to remember that there was 1 question on refactoring (similar to the questions on refactoring that you find on the ICE test) and none on multiple classification.
I hope this help!
