Our client, a large financial company in Horsham, PA,
has an immediate opening for a Senior Java Developer/
Tech. Lead. A job description follows:
Position Title: Senior Java Developer Tech. Lead
Work Location: Horsham, PA.
This position will report to: Systems Manager
Day to Day responsibilities:
This particular group is the Front End Applications
group.
They are in charge of new development for Intranet
applications, support of Internet and Intranet
applications, and finally support and conversion of
legacy applications written in a variety of different
languages including VB, Cold Fusion, etc.
Responsibilities will include systems analysis and
design of new systems, some hands on programming,
mentoring of less experienced team members,
troubleshooting older applications and supporting new
applications.
Projects involved with:
This is a very dynamic role, so it is very difficult
to point toward a particular project, as there are
many projects going on at once. However, the general
charter of this position and group is to eliminate the
many and varied front end applications and move toward
a consistent Java based user interface.
Role with the group (tech. lead, individual
contributor, etc.):
Technical lead and Senior Developer
Work environment (cube, office, bull pen): Large Cube
Size of Team: 8 developers
Required Skills: Java, SQL, HTML, OOD
Desired Skills: Oracle PL/SQL, Cold Fusion, Web
development.
"Soft" Skills: As a mentor, it is absolutely necessary
to have perfect English language skills, and excellent
communication and presentation skills in general.
