Projects involved with: 1. Search engine development. 2. Development of Web site monitoring product 3. Conversion of source code from MS based ASP and VB Script to Java. Role with the group (tech. lead, individual contributor, etc.): Technical Lead Work environment (cube, office, bull pen): Open office, no cubes Size of department: 6 and growing Required Skills: Extensive experience with Java and OOA/OOD (Object Oriented Analysis and Design) is required. Knowledge and experience of JAVA, RMI and JDBC required. Experience with a n-tier model (RMI) design. Experience with Oracle a plus. Knowledge of TCP/IP sockets and protocol implementation a plus. Knowledge of UML preferred. Experience with Servlets, XML, JSP, Swing, JSP Tag Extension a big plus. Knowledge of Perl and C++ helpful. "Soft" Skills: Formal project management experience Ability to communicate effectively with upper management and take responsibility for deadlines, functionality, and revenue generation.
