POSITION DETAILS
New business-to-business Internet Start-up in San Francisco is looking for a Web Developer to take ownership of development projects at every level of a sophisticated, database driven dynamic website. This includes new end-user features, customized content delivery, web-based administration and analysis tools, and customer service and fulfillment integration.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Skilled individuals needed to lead site development and production activities. Candidates must understand the concepts of effective website design. Must be able to work in cross-functional teams on various sales and/or development-related products.
SKILLS DESIRED

3+ years experience with development of robust, scalable, Web applications.
3-4 years experience with e-commerce issues such as transaction processing, handling forms, session handling, access control and authorization.
Knowledge of standard client side technologies including HTML and JavaScript. Conversant with relational databases (Oracle and/or MySQL).
Previous experience with Perl and/or PHP.
Server-side Java experience is a big plus.
Strong experience with object-oriented design, development and techniques.
Experience and ability to design database tables and write sophisticated queries.
Developed tools to be administered by non-developers.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Disciplined and aggressive self-starter with strong attention to detail and advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to take a project from start to finish on own, as well as in collaboration, is essential.
