Can anyone suggest me a book on UML thats available in India. I see popular book "UML distilled" on amazon, but that's not available in India.

I know UML basics through work experience but want to read something in detail.

Thanks,

If you poke around UML 2.0 Diagrams I suspect you'll get most of what you need for free.

HI scott
What is this agile?? Is it some pattern to apply UML, extension of UML, something like RUP or just a english name. Sorry just confused!!
Dont you have the indian edition of "The object Primer" because after converting dollar into rupees, our pocket becomes empty.
Thanks

Agile is a way of thinking about software development. The short story is that agile software development is a highly collaborative approach that is evolutionary (iterative and incremental) in nature which focuses on the delivery of working software which meets the needs of stakeholders in a cost effective manner. Best way to learn about agility is to poke around www.agilealliance.org and read some of the articles suggested there. If you intend to be a software developer for more than a few more years, you should take the time to learn about agility.

Unfortunately there is no Indian edition of The Object Primer. I'd be interested to have one printed, but as of yet my publisher hasn't contacted one for me. Luckily a lot of the material is online at www.agilemodeling.com for free.

Its really interesting scott.I have visited the site.
Will try to get indepth into it. I have a question not in this context but reagrding one problem related to scea part 2. ACtually there is a system written in cgi-perl and already existing. How can a new website fully use that cgi-perl website without changing it. cgi-perl site just give some information about particular customers. New website will be in j2ee.
If you can give some input reagrding this design??

THanks
