hai , i am planning to take up UML & OOAD certification exam, i dont know the books which i can read , if u know any books which are helpfull to prepare for the examination. please inform me.

The most imp books that you must read and are also recommended by IBM are..

UML distilled -- Martin Fowler (2nd Edition)
Applying UML and Patterns -- Craig Larman (2nd Edition)

For UML 2.0 I found best:
Dan Pilone (with Neil Pitman): "UML 2.0 in a Nutshell - A Desktop Quick Reference", O'Reilly, 2005.

IBM certification for OOAD with UML does not include UML 2.0

That post is dated 2005, so it's not entirely surprising the links don't work any more. Sorry, I don't know any updated ones.
