Description: This project had External and Internal modules, wherein the External module is the user interface for the web site. The internal module consists of the Main Business logic and the presentation logic to be forwarded to the User interface. The internal system is an intranet system which is connected to different Program Offices of OJP (Office of Justice Programs) like EOWS (Executive Office of Weed and Seed), DCPO (Drug & Court Program Office), CPO (Corrections
Program Office), VAWO (Violence Against Women Office), etc. This module is developed using JSP for forwarding the presentation logic, Servlets for the business logic and Oracle 8i as the backend database.
The general flow of the system is that a user can apply for the Grant to a particular Program Office towards a particular solicitation. Once the user�id is approved by the concerned Program Office, the User will be sent an e-mail in this regard, and then he can Submit the Application. The Application can be Approved, Denied, or can be put On Hold during the various levels of approval process spanning different program offices. After being approved by Program Office the application has to be approved at different offices like OCFMD (Office of the Comptroller Financial Management Division), (Office of Budget Management Services), OC (Office of the Comptroller), AAG (office of the Attorney General) and OCPA. The user is awarded with the Grant after being approved by all the offices. Design and Analysis for the transfer of the business logic to a more scalable EJB architecture was done. Sample Prototypes were developed with iplanet server platform.

Description: An intranet setup for Road Transport corporation, for the comprehensive network of bus reservation system from remotr terminals scattered over the region. Passenger interface was designed using HTML. Database on seat inventory, ticket details, fare,category,route,place and fleet was maintained in Oracle Rdbms. Transaction with database was made using java servlets and jdbc. Java Applets were implemented across pages to provide menu driven look for the seat layout & bus design. Applet to servlet communication was implemented. The applets communicate through the RMI layer to the server for fare calculation, seat availability, seat selection and ticket confirmation. Forms were prepared using HTML. Client side validation was performed using java script. Client side applets were developed. Java servlets were developed at server side for handling requests and responses from the web page. Oracle Database access was implemented through JDBC-ODBC bridge at server end.

testing of new job-applicants. The tests have 50 questions on different subjects related to the job and have to be completed within a limited time period. An applet was used for this display and also for updating the submitted data into the database. JDBC connectivity was used. The result will be displayed accordingly by comparing the user answers with that in the database. A counter will be incremented for the purpose of marks and its value will be displayed in the Applet. The selected candidate will go for interview.

Description: This is a client server architecture where the user can view the details of the particular Auditorium with a HTML interface. Also if a user wants to do a booking for a show he can enter his name, address, unique id etc., which will be validated through JavaScript. After entering the details in HTML form the user can click a button, which will be invoking an Applet. This applet will update the HTML content into a back-end database by taking the HTML information as parameters. JDBC was used in this context .The result of booking information will be displayed back on this Applet in a Text Area. This will happen when user clicks a result button on this Applet. For modification user can fill a separate HTML Form, which will connect to the database through the Applet. By matching with the unique id, Parameter, the record will be updated.

Three databases were used for birds purchase in batches, daily transaction with birds and sales/receipts in the back-end MS-Access. User interface screens are developed in VB 6.0 with all the required validations. Reports were generated using Data reports.
