But when I look at people in Tcs and infy I am tempted..People in infy, tcs, satyam etc are globe trotting the earth....They go to places like japan,Switzerland,UK,US etc..whereas I am daily trotting between Malleswaram and MG Road in BMTC bus....(This kind of routine rerally sucks)If I continue in this company I can visit all these places only in my dream...
I have decided to go services company.I have forwarded my resume to my friends in Tcs,Satyam and cts...and I am expecting interview calls soon...
Please say which among the three is good purely from onsite perspective...??

I have 7 months work experience and I get 6.5 lakh/annum..I think TCS will pay be only around 3 lakh..but if they send me onsite that difference will be compensated...Is it a wise option..??

I am currently working in Yahoo ...I would like to jump from Yahoo to some services company like TCs or Infy..Obviously the pay will be less than what I get here in Yahoo...So can I demand that I would join only if I am promised that I will be sent onsite for a long term project(around 2 years)??

Does it sound stupid???or is there any better way to put across my demand??because I haven't gone to any country before and I desperately want to go abroad...

Well I feel working in financial domain would greatly help you if in case you decide to go for Mba(finance) or higher studies related to finance..

Even I am planning to jump from my company to some other company in finance domain.

When I look at some of my classmates who are in nVidia ,google and Sclumburger I think my pay isn't good..

And when you said you can get people for 2 lakh i felt it is sheer exploitation

The Reason being I am a fresher and am getting 6.5 lakh in Yahoo..thats why I felt bad...

For 20 LPA I can hire 10 guys with around 1 year experience and can give me excellent results if I know how to manage them well. Talent is not exclusive priviledge of premier institutes; it is in abundance if you know how find it and test it.

Thats why I said this...

Why will a clever fellow work for you for such a pittance..

I have noticed one more thing..Whenever some one mentions their pay Manish opens his mouth wide ...and comments that salaries are too much..

I think he was grossly underpaid for many years and he says this out of jealousy

I am sure if Manish is incharge of recruiting people he will be paying peanuts to everyone working under him (but he will be pocketing lions share )in the hope of making outsourcing sustain..

Karu,

Why do you want to move from Satyam to Infy?
Anyway brief answer to your query
B1-short term work permit visa
L1-Long term work permit visa
H1-b--long term work permit visa..one advantage over L1 is you can show bye bye to Satyam after some days in US...

Welcome back karthik..

People in the forum where really missing your mind boggling questions....

Man you rock man....

Best option would be to go and ask the US Embassy folks..who would instantly give you whatever visa you want

Hi Cindy,
Even I had that problem but dont worry you can surely overcome it..
My idea would be to meet up with few of your friends and give some mock interviews...Be confident on whatever you have done so far....just reharse and speak to yourself about the answers for most possible questions...

Lastly When you are in the interview room just think that the person who is interviewing you is a fool(This really helps)...

And above all this interview is not the end of world..There are lot of other avenues in the world...

So my Best wishes for your new job..Do let me know after u land in one...
