Hi,

Sorry for this , please delete this post.

[ I was on chapter 4 , now i just saw this topic , is there in spec in chapter 12]
Hi,

I understand Lifecycle call-back interceptor methods like postCreate , preDestroy etc .

But what are Business method's interceptor methods ? Spec has refrence to them in Container's responsiblity section (for session bean's implementation ) under Biz interface implementation topic.

Please tell me .

Thanks

Minu ,

Unluckily , we dont HF book for EJB 3.0 as of now .

I would suggest , try to get it replaced with some other EJB 3.0 book (after choosing from scbcd link here) if possible .

Good Luck!!
Hi Ralph,

Thank you!!!

But what can be the case , when no object identity will be assosiated with instance of session bean by the container ? I mean what case they are talking about ?

Thanks

Hi,

Please help me understand below :

1) Section 4.3.3: what is te difference b/w getInvokedBusinessInterface and getBusinessObject methods ?

2) Section 4.4.2 :

Invoking the getEJBObject and getEJBLocalObject methods is disallowed in the session bean methods in which there is no session object identity established for the instance.

Above , what it means by session object identity established for instance ? ( Is it talking abt annotation or declaring in DD that this bean is session bean using stateful or stateless ) .

Thanks

Yogesh ,

Please read below: ( From someone's story from "wall of fame" )

chapters 3 (not necessarily EJB 2.1 client view part), 4, 5, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22 of the ejb core specification, chapter 9 from the ejb simplified specification and chapters 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10 of the ejb persistence specification.

All , Please correct, if i have [mentioned extra or missed ] any important chapter/s .

Thank you very much all for guiding me!!! ... Appreciated .... Actually , I got so confused , now its okay.

Hi,

I am going through EJB 3.0 core spec chapter 3 these days , I have one stupid doubt , As EJB 3.0 provides back-ward compatibility to support EJB 2.0 at the same time.

So do I need to have idea have idea of ins-outs of EJB 2.0 also for SCBCD 5.0 exam ?

My doubt is , should I go through below big topic also from spec ?

Section 3.6 ::

Remote and local client view of session beans wriiten to EJB 2.1 client view API

Please advice...

Thanks..

Also , one more question : Like in HF book , we have from scratch like what all i need to install for EJB 3 to practice code examples , I mean some basic things , I dont find it in Manning book till chapter 2 ,

Can some one please guide to begin from scrach to practice EJB 3 codes , what all i need to have , what all things i need ? OR guide me to some good URL to go through

[Sorry for foolish questions ]

Heylo,

Thank you Niranjan for guidiance.....

I have started with EJB in action book and finished with chapter 1 . Do we have any notes from this book? As to read second time , many things seemed to be skipped . I am also preparing my notes too of relevant lines.

It was bit heavy stuff .
