Hi

Head First book are one of the best options, right now they are having Head First EJB, but its for the previous version, i read some interesting post in their site hinting that they are working on the new version and going to be released probably this year, also they were looking for an author for a while.

In the mean time i'm using EJB 3 In Action from manning, so far so good.

Good luck there.

Hi

Does someone know some good (free)open source load testing tools for web applications, it would be especially nice if you know that those work for web applications using ZK framework.
I used Mercury Load Runner but license expired... so im looking for something cheaper.

Thanks in advance.

This sounds pretty cool indeed, it is obviusly taking in count JavaScript is becoming more serious than before(someone say it is a toy language).

Also i guess this is derivated from doing separation of concerns, for instance this sounds like the controller(the behavior of the view) to me, but i may be wrong, maybe it could be like the model(depending on the purpose of the behavior of course...)... not sure exactly... what do you think...?

Thanks Bear!

Now i'm really going to check it out more deeply.
Hi

I'm sure there are some good reasons to prefer JQuery from others... like maybe prototype.
Thank you very much Pauline!

Hi Bert

Do you know something about these two new books i found on amazon today:

Head First Ajax
http://www.amazon.com/Head-First-Ajax-Rebecca-Riordan/dp/0596515782/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1200367944&sr=1-17

Head First Programming
http://www.amazon.com/Head-First-Programming-Vernon-Ceder/dp/0596514182/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1200367944&sr=1-14

I guess Head First Ajax, will be talking about ajax frameworks, tendencies, latest trends or it will be kind of an upgrade for Head Rush Ajax.

As for the other one i'm guessing it will be talking about programming using best practices, conventions....

But dunno...

Could you please talk us about those a little?

Hi Bert

How about a HF Architecture or Architect, that should be nice especially for the ones starting with this role or the ones looking for that knowledge, that would be awesome from my point of view .

Hi all

I'm preparing for SCJD and almost have the assignment on my hands but before of that my manager is asking how much time am i going to spend?.

So in order to answer i was revisiting some topics about it and some people say it takes 120 hours, some 200 hours, some more people spent more than a year.

I'm willing to spend at least 1 hour at day, but i know there are going to be days that it won't be possible so i created this topic to hear how much time are people going to say if they were asked to.

I'm thinking on saying 8-12 months but please write your thoughts about this. It will be really helpful and appreciated.
