Congrats, Joan! Impressive score...well done! Am from Manila and am currently taking up Java classes. How long did it take for you to learn Java and how long did it take you to review?
Regards!

Congratulations, Mo! Your tips are a big help, as well. Like you, I have a business background/degree so hearing success stories like yours do inspire me!
BTW, I would like to know: How long did it take you to learn Java? As a follow-up, how long did you prepare and study for the exam itself? Thanks in advance!
Good luck and regards!

Congratulations, Mo! Thanks for all the great tips, as well! I'm just starting to learn Java right now; like you, I have a business degree so it inspires me to read about success stories like yours.
I'd like to ask you, how long did you have to study to learn Java? Subsequently, how long did you study/prepare for the exam itself? Thanks in advance for the help.
Good luck with your job prospects!

Thanks!

When are conditional (or ternary) operators used? Thanks!

Hi! Is there is a faster way to download the JDK ver. 1.3 from Sun's website? I just have a dial-up connection at home and it'll take me around 3 hours to accomplish this. On the other hand, a friend of mine has the JDK version 1.2 on several CDs he got from the JavaOne Conference early this year. Is getting the latest version really the best thing to do? Or is it ok if I use the CDs with the earlier version instead?
Thanks in advance for any assistance!

I'm going to move this thread over to the Certification Study forum as this forum is really for Certification Results.

Much appreciated feedback, Thomas! I'm purchasing it later. Its not a cheap book so its very reassuring to read your personal endorsement.
BTW, I've been lurking around here several times a day since I've registered. I must say that the folks here are the most helpful people around.
Regards!!
