JSP
Hi friends,

I have two JSP pages (page1.jsp and page2.jsp)

I am creating an object named(obj1) of some calss on page1.jsp, storing it in request attribute, and forwarding to page2.jsp using jsp:forward action tag.

On page2.jsp I am fetching object obj1. Here I am able to fetch the obj1 successfully. Now my requirement is that , On page2.jsp on clicking of button I want to call page2.jsp and also want the request attribute which I set on page1.jsp.

I can do it using session or application scoped attribute, but how to do it using request attribute ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Friends,

I have a form with checkbox which I am making visible or hidden as per
the requirement.

Checkbox doesn't contain VALUE property but I am setting it in "javascript" when user submits the form.

When it is visible I can Check or Uncheck it and I set value according to it in javascript , but when it is HIDDEN I am not able to access it and in
request parameter it gives NULL pointer exception.

Can I access HIDDEN checkbox parameter in this case ?

Please refer the code below.

Thanks
Hello

I would like to know which technologies are used to develop this forum.

From various URL I visit for this forum shows paths like /cgi-bin/filename.cgi .

Isn't this developed in JSP, servlets and other technologies of Java?
Or cgi supports Java ?

Thanks

Hi Friends,

My requirement is to upload a file from client(browser) to my Application Server (In any directory of Application Server machine like C:\ or D:\ etc..). But before that I want to check whether the file has any data or no ?

But on clients machine I cant do File operation using java.io package.
Can anyone tell me how can I read file temporary without uploading it on server and check if file has any data so that I can give message to client like File has no data.

Thanks in advance.
