Hi

To study for version 6 of the web services cetification, I am planning on using the following study materials
SCDJWS 5 Study Notes
http://www.slideshare.net/krizsan/scdjws-5-study-notes-3085287

Epractice labs
http://www.epractizelabs.com/certification/sun/oce-webservices-exam-6.html

Java webservices up and running
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/059652112X?tag=jranch-20

Can anyone recommend any other materials that could be used?

Thanks
Damien
Hey guys

I have completed SCJP 5 previously in the past.
Just wondering is there any specific info out there pertaining to the upgrade exam?

If not I will just go throu version 6 for Sierra Bates book

Thanks in advance
Damien
Hi

I see on the Oracle site that version 6 of the webservices exam will be available on their site from the 8th of February.

Can anyone recommend any good material for this version of the exam?
Also, if anyone can provide details to links on material that shows differences between version 5 and version 6 of the exma, that would be very useful

Looking forward to your response

Thanks
Damien
Hi

Has anyone taken any Java tests supplied by IKM (International Knowledge Measurement).
I would be interested to hear how complex they are compared to say the Java certification from sun

Thanks
Damien

Does anyone have "JAX-WS RESTFul JSON" running example?

Hi Manhaj

You should check our Jersey for using REST webservices
https://jersey.dev.java.net/

I used this previously for a project with no experience and it worked exceptionally well.

Also, here is a good article discussing using Jersey to return JSONP to a Jquery call

Thanks

Hi

I just got the mail stating that I also passed the SCEA 5 exam. - Today must be a lucky day - I see I am the fourth to post.

This forum has been very useful to me for all my certifications to date, not only the SCEA certification.

Thank you to everyone for their assistance

Damien
Hi

Would it be effective to identify the top 3 risks based on the non functional requirements in the assignment?
Also, do we need to do much documentation on these risks?

Thanks
Damien

Hi Cameron

I noticed StarUml provides Uml 1.4 notation and not Uml 2 notation.
Is this a problem when handing up the assignment?

Thanks
Damien
Hi

Did you buy this item or SCEA 5.0 Certification Exam
Mock Exam and Training Software ?

I found Whizlabs was excellent for part1

Thanks
Damien
Hi

Well the title of the software says SCEA 5.0 Assignment Exam so i hope it is.
I am purchasing it later on today.
I will let you know what its like
Thanks Eoin

I appreciate your response.
Its always good to hear that something is worthwhile before purchasing

Thanks again
Damien
I passed part1 by using Mark and Humphreys book and not many other external resources.
Its definitely worth a read
Hi

Just wondering if anyone has used this software?
http://www.epractizelabs.com/certification/sun/scea-5-part23-exam.html

If so, how would you rate it and is it beneficial?
I do understand it is not the be all and end all and I am revising using other resources also.

Thanks
Damien
Welcome to the forum guys.
Like i said on Humphreys blog (http://humphreysheil.blogspot.com), i used this book to assist me in passing part1 of the SCEA exam. This books provides just enough information and also assists with providing links, books etc for additional readings on topics.
I have started using this book for part2 and part3 and so far I am very impressed
