Is the GRE easier than the GMAT? Ive never been able to tell which one is for which. I think the GRE is for an graduate engineering degree?

Business schools looks at your GMAT score and engineering schools looks at your GRE score. So, give GMAT if you are planning to do MBA, otherwise GRE and TOFEL will do it.
Give yourself enough time to prepare for GRE, like a year or so.

I am used to typing "not" instead of "now". I don't know why I do this, but I keep doing it over and over.
Once in the email to everyone I wrote "The change is not ready for testing." instead of "The change is now ready for testing."

I think the archive directory is invalid.

Hope this helps.

How are books of John Grisham?

Someone recommended to read *all* books by him. Are they worth having?

I went to Amazon and check 2-3 books and they have 4+ rating.

You would like it if you are starting out new. Once you read few books you get used to it and enjoy less, although I have read almost all of his books. I like his writing style, keeps me gripped.

Hi all,
I have a situation and I need some advice and answers.

I just graduated from school, received an OPT a few days ago and got a job in San jose. My opt valids at Sept 18 06 and ends at Sept 17 07.

Now I've received a news from a friend of mine who said that the quota for FY07 has been used up so no more space left.

I do understand that I could start applying as early as April 1st 07. But I'm worried because my OPT ends at sept and the gov will reopen the quota as early as oct 1st. Does that mean its already too late for me?

Thank you

Contact a good immigration lawyer and get legal help. I am sure this is fairly common problem and most of lawyers would have came across these kind of things.

H1B quota is opened in Oct 2007 but you can apply for H1B for that year from April 1st 2007. That leaves you with lot of time before your OPT expires, and if you are worried you can go for premium processing. Your best bet is to get legal help and you would be fine.

really? does H1B laws say that, I ask because I was fresher when I was on H1B in 1998. I started with student visa in 1996 though. I thought you need to have bachelor's degree or equivalent to be on H1B.

Without experience you're never going to get a job as a contractor, certainly not (as you seem to be looking for) as an expat on an H1 visum.
Or if you get it it will be illegal, as companies aren't allowed to hire people with no expience on an H1 (which is reserved for people they can't get locally, and there are tons of people without experience).

I am sorry, did I miss anything? How did you know he/she is looking to get H1? How did you figure out which country he/she is in, maybe he/she is already in US or maybe he/she is not in US and looking for jobs locally, in either case he/she won't need H1, right?
