Hi Sanjay/Nicholas,
Thanks for your reply. I do have the score report with me. Can you tell me what I am supposed to do.. How do I go ahead and make myself eligible for taking the exam.

Regards,
Suresh R
Hi All,
As for the SCBCD certification is concerned, there is a prerequisite of SCJP certification.
In my case, I have taken my SCJP certification in India - I don't have any prometric Id with me for that Exam.. I just have the certification of SCJP. Is it sufficient enough to purchase the Voucher/take the SCBCD exam.
How does the Sun Verify the Prerequisites?... At what stage is this verfication being done?... i.e. They allow us to purchase the voucher and take the exam but while sending out the certificate, do they do the verification...

Your input on this is highly appreciated. In my case, since I don't have a prometic id what do you people suggest me to do to take the SCBCD?.

Regards,
Suresh R
Hi ,
I was going through the Stateless Session Bean OID Diagrams and operations allowed in the Stateless Session Methods.
In setSessionContext, we do have access to getEJBHome and getEJBLocalHome methods.
I am pretty much confused on why/how it was allowed to have access to these methods when the Session objects are pooled.
Thanks Ganesh for that Reply. What I could interpret from your reply is,
there is no harm in doing Steps 2-5 in EJB Object if any container developer wishes to.
Hi All,
I just started preparing for the SCBCD. I have a question on the OID of Stateful Session Bean. As per the Spec when a Client calls the Create method on the Home Object following sequence of steps occur.

1. Creates a new EJB Object
2. Create a Session Context Object
3. Creates a New Instance
4. calls setSesionContext
5. calls ejbCreate

My question here is why not steps 2 to 5 be performed by the EJB Object rather than EJB Home Object?.

Any restrictions on this? Am I missing something here?

Please refer the OID of Stateful Session Bean in EJB Spec (Figure 7) in case of any difficulty in understanding the above question.
Thanks,
Suresh R
