Thanks everyone.............

Thanks everyone. I didn't read SUN FAQ so that I don't know the new policy.
I got the certification paper on Aug 4th. But which stated that from July 22nd I am SCEA. That's why I didn't get an unexpire certification paper(from Aug 1st?). Anyway, I feel much happier now.
Thanks everyone for the information. Your guy are great.
Hello everyone,
I have a post on https://coderanch.com/t/151533/java-Architect-SCEA/certification/SCEA-certification-expire-date that my SCEA has an expire date on it.
I have got SCJP and SCWCD before and both of them don't have expire date on the certification paper. I just wonder if the SCBCD will have expire date too if I pass the beta exam because I thought put expire date doesn't make sense.
Lao Chi.
Hi,
I just got my certification paper which show me I am an certified architect now. I would say thanks every one to help me this out.
But I am sad because I found that the certification will expire two years later. I went to http://suned.sun.com/US/certification/java/java_archj2ee.html again and didn't find any place say the certification will expire.
I agree the technology will be updated day by day. But if I do same job after two years by using same version J2EE platform, should I lost my certification that I already got two years ago?
Sun should put a version number in the certification instead put an expire date in the certification.

Anyway, I got it and thanks javaranch not only help me get the certification, but also let me learn a lot I didn't think in my job.

I just finished the exam this morning (7/3/03). It takes me 3 hr 10 minutes to finish. After 2 hours since the exam started, I can’t concentrate very well and don’t know how well I did for the last 70 questions. I didn’t review when I finished since I am so tired.
After I click End button, the screen show me some information that it will take 6-8 weeks to get score etc. But the test center (Maryland, USA) doesn’t print anything for me to confirm I did the test. Did someone get something printed out after you test?
Besides Sun EJB 2.0 spec at
http://java.sun.com/products/ejb/docs.html#specs, I use the following documents for preparation:
1. Valentin Crettaz cheat sheet at
http://www.valoxo.ch/jr/cheatsheets.html
2. Ashik uzzaman document at http://www.ourbangla.com/scbcdbetaexam.doc
3. Kathy’s book preview at ftp://ftp.wickedlysmart.com/pub/
4. Other Javaranch posts.
I didn’t meet DnD problem (Win2000, 64M Pentium II machine in test center). And I like the DnD design.
I do memorize spec. Page 77, 80, 89, 90,168, 179, 180, 320, 375, 276, 377, 378 last night in case I didn’t understand correctly. You can also use Valentin Crettaz cheat sheet for final review before the test. Last night review and memorize (like Kathy said, should be understanding not memorization, but I don't have choice to memorize a lot of thing) help me very much for today’s test.
I must say thanks to Kathy, Valentin, Ashik and every rancher for the wonderful documents and discussion. Without you, I can’t do the test and I can't learn so much.
Also I must say thanks to Evelyn for pushing the count from 400 to 600 and all her hard works. I wouldn’t in the test if there are only 400 test seats.

this is so confused.
I was rejected to register last Friday and this Monday, but today when I saw the javaranch post, I got registered and will take the exam on July 3rd.

Then what happened if someone registered but doesn't show up before or on July 7th, the count will not reach to 600 since the register is closed. I don't understand until today why sun still can't ensure all people can take test if they have been registered. Suppose on July 7th, the number reached to 6xx, but what's the difference SUN use 600 beta tester or 6xx testers. Really hope SUN don't refuse those xx testers, especially for those testers show up at test center but will be refused to give the test.
Thanks. Just registered although I lost an important day for preparation since I thought I can't test.
Last Friday afternoon/27), I call prometric to register, first all the center transfer me to a place to verify the voucher number, after a lady pick up the call and she said the number is right. But when she try register me, she told me that her computer get error message and will call me back in half hour. After 2 hours waiting, I got go home for the weekend. Today, I call prometric center again, this time they didn't say my voucher is wrong. After 2 minutes check, the lady told me that Sun has got 400 testers register and I can't register anymore even I told her the number should be 600.
Now I regret I didn't register earlier. (Should I register even I don't know if I can make the test Or should I register when I definitely will take the test. I didn't ask voucher earlier too until last Tuesday when I decide to take the test, fortunately(?) I got the voucher).
Can Evely, Kathy or someone tell us how many tester should be there and how many now. I can't wait until September after weeks preparation.
Rich,
How is the Part III?
Thanks.

After saw the replay from Richard at https://coderanch.com/t/151404/java-Architect-SCEA/certification/File-size-part-II-submission, I (at maryland, USA) call sun at 1-800-422-8020, the lady let me send email to registrars@sun.com and CC to suncert@prometric.com, I also CC to correspondence@prometric.com. After about one hour, I get the email reply (actully 4 emails, one reply to my former request email and the other three reply the email send one hour ago) that I got the permission. But I don't know which email address do the actually job. The upload then is perfect.
Again, thank Chris and Richard help me out.
