Senior Lead Architect - Contractor needed immediately. Must have 5 - 9 years JAVA experience. The right contractor will function as a lead architect and software designer and be the technical mentor to a team of developers. Will be responsible to perform resource scheduling, provide technical estimates and project plans. Reviews and analyzes business and technical requirements; prepares programming specifications; codes and tests programs. Determines impact on other programs/systems. Develops software routines and programming techniques in handling commonly utilized functions. Coordinates any programming tie-in efforts for those programs developed by other programming personnel. Participates in problem resolution for assigned applications. Status management on progress of project and project issues and work with management to assign staff and staff responsibilities. Please check your job specs carefully, if you are really serious and not just trolling for resumes then you should Know that 9 years java experience is not possible

Actually, someone who was working with pre-release versions of Java in 1994, and who has worked continuously with it since then, could conceivably have 9 years experience.

Only team members who found Java are eligible for this .Actually this is not the only job which is asking like this.Usually most of consultants whom I am posting my resume ask for 8 years of EJB experience,JSP experience.......How is that possible?If I say it is not possible coz it wasn't released b4 8 years,that is like negative impression for them...& they won't get back to me.Is there any solution for this?

Hello Denise,
Are you included four years undergrad education? Based on H1B Visa status 1 year of college education equivalent to 3 years work experience. The definition concocted by ITTAA in Silicon Valley during the decade of drunken and orgies. If that is the case someone educated from overseas, immigrated to US with 5 years work experience probably could fit the bill.
You also mention only local candidate needed. As I understand in US, someone graduate with bachelor degree is at the bottom of the food chain. How could it equate to 9 years experience?
Could you help me to clarify my enquiry before I would dare to venture to the next step?
