User Interface Designer / Usability Engineer
$25--$35 an hour
Working along with Product Management and Technical Architects, the UI Designer is responsible for the UI Design, UI framework , optimal navigation, content layout, and usability of a large-scale, web-based enterprise product.
* Extensive experience in conducting formal user-centric design activities involving web-based and desktop applications (usability, creative design etc.)
* Experience creating web-based UI using HTML, CSS, JSP, Javascript. Experience with J2EE environment is preferred.
* Solid knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of HTML, JSP and (SWING is a plus).
* Working knowledge of UI prototyping tools and methodologies for international browser and non-browser based environments
* Understand requirements from multiple user perspectives.
* Must be able to conceptualize and design creative user experiences and usability paradigms.
* Expertise in organizing information, building navigation, prototyping and conducting usability testing
* Help develop, maintain and enforce user interface standards across application.
* Review designs with development team to ensure feasibility of implementation and determine development Schedule estimates.
* Develop graphic assets. (Photoshop)
* Design layouts
* Experience utilizing source code control software ( , CVS, SourceSafe, etc) is a plus.
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
