It's kinda weird, so bear with me. We are unable to offer any sponsorship. All candidates must be able to work in the US w/out sponsorship.
Must Haves: strong J2EE experience, XML, HTML, coding experience with Visual C++, (VC++ b/c the current systems is written in it), Windows NT/2000 (b/c development will be on a Windows platform)
Pluses:
WebSphere Application Developer 5.0, deployment of large-scale systems,
Struts, JavaScript, performance tuning, stress testing, DOM and SAX
parsers, MQSI familiarity, experience with Oracle 8.* and 9i
Other Requirements/Notes:
-------------------------
Support of this business initiative requires specialized development
expertise in Java2 Enterprise Engineering (J2EE), IBM WebSphere product
suite, and deployment of large-scale, high volume, performance-sensitive
applications. A mid-level J2EE developer is required to fulfill these
requirements, including knowledge of Java, JSP, JavaScript, XML, HTML,
Struts, performance tuning, stress testing, DOM and SAX parsers. Limited
travel to/from South Denver is a possibility. The current team is split
between the Colorado Springs and South Denver.

I'm curious as to what you find weird about it. This strikes me as fairly normal for an intermediate web app developer position.

That is a really big piece of pie for such a tiny ad:
