Hi

I need an Java IDE (Eclipse) for Linux (RedHat); We have a CVS setup which needs to be plugged into the IDE.

I'm a newbie to all these 3 domains. (Did most of my programming in Windows until now)

1> I need to install Eclipse 3.0.* on RedHat Linux
2> Link Eclipse with CVS via a plugin

3> Possibly access this setup from a windows box

Please let me whether this is a common development setup ?

Also please do let me know of any possible resources/documentations enabling all this

Thanks
Ravi

Ravi,
Eclipse comes with CVS integration out of the box. You need to install a CVS server somewhere, but you don't need to install anything in Eclipse itself.

What do you want to access from a Windows box? CVS?

Now since eclipse and CVS are integrated; Can I run eclipse from windows through remote login?

Thanks

You could by installing an X/Windows server on the PC; but it would be nicer to simply install Eclipse on the Windows machine, too, and access the same CVS repository to share code.
