Contract-to-Hire position.
Will not relocate. Will not sponsor.
Will be developing a web based portal application using Java and J2EE on Websphere and Unix.
Required Skills:
3+ years current work experience in JAVA development.
J2EE architect and programmer -- This person must be able to take business software requirements, and apply Sun's J2EE technologies correctly to produce solid, scalable solutions. Should be familiar with Sun's J2EE Patterns and best practices.
WebSphere 5.0 App Server -- Must be familiar will all aspects of installing and configuring WebSphere in the enterprise. This includes EAR/WAR deployment, JNDI configuration, security, clustering etc.
XML - Strong Developer knowledge of XML technologies, especially Java's implementations of those technologies.
Highly recommended skills (candidates should have at least 4 of these skills):
Solaris -- Strong familiarity with Sun Solaris v8 OS.
WSAD -- Expert knowledge installing and using IBM's WSAD Java IDE.
Content Management -- Developer experience with a CM product. Documentum is preferred.
Oracle -- Developer experience in Oracle 8 or 9.
Struts -- Expert knowledge in building Web Applications using Struts open source web app framework
Macintosh UI -- Ability to develop cross platform (Mac and PC) Web Apps and Java Swing Apps. ckaufman@kforce.com
