Is there any difference between Eclipse 2.0 and 3.0 in regard to supporting Web Services?

Neither one directly supports web services, so there's no difference.

There is (was?) a plugin for Apache Axis, though it wasn't very polished. I used it under Eclipse 2. Don't know if it's been upgraded for Eclipse 3.

Tim,

I'm surprised to learn that there is no direct support for Web Services in Eclipse 3.0. Anyway, thanks for the info.

Look at the Eclipse Web Tools project. They have support for Web Services. There is a developerWorks article about it at:

Web Services support is a part of the Eclipse foundation however.

Support for Web Services is in the Eclipse Web Tools Platform project (http://www.eclipse.org/webtools).
