I have a mehtod like this in my class

Now since I dont have 'setCountry' method definition in my class ,eclipse suggests some fixes-
'Create private method setCountry' with the template.

Now i want it to list another option ' Create abstract method setCountry ' with an abstract method template. I frequently do this in my app. How can I get eclipse to give me that option as well. I expect eclipse to automatically make my class abstract once i accept it. How to go about this?

thanks.

There is no easy way. You will either have to write an Eclipse plugin, or submit a feature request at https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/

When you do the latter now, it's quite likely that you will see this feature in Eclipse 3.2

I'm not familar with eclipse plugin development. But this looks like a
good opportunity to learn. I know that the first thing for me w'd be to do a hello world plugin.
But can someone tell me which eclipse plugin i s'd be looking to modify
to get the behaviour am looking for.

thanks.

Do the following in Eclipse:
Help -> Welcome -> Tutorials -> Create a "Hello, World" plugin
