Hi guys,
I've used NetBeans since its 3.0 release.
I always found NetBeans very slow but what
Java IDE is not ?
Last week, after my friend's suggestion, I downloaded Eclipse and I found it faster than NetBeans.
While Eclipse seems to be faster than NetBeans there are some points against.
I've heard that SWT in Eclipse breaks the Java guarantee "write once, run anywhere".
I also found
Struts and
JSF support in NetBeans very rich and better then Eclipse.
I also found that bug fixes come faster in NetBeans than in Eclipse.
On the other hand I found Eclipse faster then NetBeans which even disabling some system modules its load performance cannot be compared to Eclipse.
Although the new NetBeans release 5.0 comes with a new good improvements such as intuitive GUI building using Project Matisse and its improved editor and debug capabilities, I liked so much the Eclipse's editor.
So now I'm in doubt which is better from the industry point of view.
If you have a development team, which IDE gives you a faster, secure and softly development environment.
I'm really interested about your comments.
Any comments would be higly appreciated.
Thanks.
