I'm setting up a nightly build process, which will simply build my app using Ant, then kick off the test suite to run test on the app components.
Does anyone have examples of using Ant to manage nightly builds? In particular, I'm interested in capturing test output and sending both to the filesystem and via e-mail.
Thanks!

have a look at cruisecontrol (http://cruisecontrol.sourceforge.net/) or anthill http://urbancode.com/; these are both products that host ant for a repeated build.

I am also trying to build a nightly process with /with out using ant. I was thinking I would just use a cronjob to call the ant. Can some one please suggest better way, if there is one ?

Steve ,
Thanks for the links. But the http://urbancode.com doesn't seem to work.

like I said, CC and anthill are better as they have good reporting.
cron works if you have a script set up with all the env variables you need (JAVA_HOME, ANT_HOME); it will automail you with the results without doing any logger work.
