Hai friends, I have a set of jar files, i want to execute it. Can anyone please explain how to use "ant" for exection. is there any need to set classpath. Can i just run it from the root directory. Is there any need to set up any XML files. ThanX in advance,
Jithesh - these are very broad questions. I would highly recommend to read the Ant manual. The first pages will answer all these questions. If you still have problems, let us know what specific issues you're having.

I have a set of servelet programs. I want to execute that. I downloaded the ant and tomcat softwares. I want to deploy this java files to tomcat root as class files but when i try to execute ant i am getting an error, Out of environment space Out of environment space Out of environment space Out of environment space Bad command or file name
I dont think its a problem of windows configuration, Hope there is some mistake in installing or may be because of invalid class path given. I tried with creating the pif file. but here the problem is that you can not specify the path or filename. u just can simply run that from windows without specifying the filename.
hi jithesh, u just have to take the property of the batchfile (right click, properties) find a tab named memory, there wll be one drop down box there with default value as "none" change it to 1024 from the drop down list..im sorry now im on my office net pc, i cant go to command prompt in this PC to check the exact settings. hope this works thanks raj
