Designation: Build / Release Manager (JobCode: BRE)

Job Description
� Software build environments.
� Manage makefiles, shell scripts, and installation scripts.
� Extensive knowledge of industrial software development environment.
� Knowledge of CVS, VSS, CMVC, and other configuration management.
� Knowledge of UNIX, Linux Programming, Windows, Sun, SGI, Macintosh Platform experience is desired.
� Knowledge of Visual Studio would be an added advantage.
� Experience in Quality Assurance of software is desired.
� Should have experience with completing software builds for commercial release.
� Should have experience with completing automated build environments.
� Should be experienced in release engineering
� Should have worked in a product development organization and been involved with several products through an entire life cycle.
� Must have an international exposure having worked with multinational organizations.
� Should have mastered all needed tools and development environments on all supported platforms, including, code management tools, image construction tools, documentation tools and regression test tools.
� Should have led a group of at least 5 engineers in a multi-tier environment.
� Knowledge of or experience in working in a CMM level company is preferred.

Desired Profile
� The individual will be responsible for supporting a team of software developers with the above-mentioned tasks such as: managing and installing build environments, makefiles, shell scripts, installation scripts.
� Should act in an independent manner to perform consultation engagements for co-workers and to manage the interactions between them.
� Should have very good technical knowledge on the skills he/she is assigned to work on and should be in a position to guide his/her co-workers.
� Should be able to mentor junior staff in the techniques and practices.
