Ant 1.6.5

After intalling ANT1.6.5, i was able to execute build file and at cmd prompt gives error when i am trying to run ant

java.lang.InstantiationException: org.apache.tools.ant.Main
at java.lang.Class.newInstance0(Class.java:293)
at java.lang.Class.newInstance(Class.java:261)
at org.apache.tools.ant.launch.Launcher.run(Launcher.java:214)
at org.apache.tools.ant.launch.Launcher.main(Launcher.java:90)

what could be wrong,

Did you make sure that ANT_HOME is set?

For my installation, for example, my ANT_HOME environment variable is c:\apache-ant-1.6.5

That directory is the one that contains the bin, docs, etc, and lib directories.

Also, make sure when exploding the Ant ZIP file that you tell it to use the directories in the zip file.

Finally, make sure that %ANT_HOME%/bin is in your PATH

My path includes c:\apache-ant-1.6.5\bin

Make sure your JAVA_HOME is set on your JDK not JRE.
