A company in Orange County is hiring 2 contract Java Developers for a minimum duration of 9 months at $50-$60/hour. High probability of extension. Job description and requirements follow.

This person will participate as a senior level developer in the client�s Supply Chain Management initiative and will be part of a high performance team working closely with other analysts, business users, developers and management.

It is important that this individual be an effective communicator familiar with traditional life-cycle and agile methodologies and the object-oriented development process. It is expected that this person will need to be able to work well in a team environment, implement J2EE code based on user requirements in the form of use cases and be a strong communicator. The candidate needs to have the ability to manage multiple tasks with little supervision with experience recognizing and managing out of scope conditions.

Knowledge of object oriented programming and design concepts and skills. Experience with Supply Chain Management applications is preferred, but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

General responsibilities include business application design, development, and maintenance of a 3-tier web based system. This person will be responsible to gather business requirements, create development documentation, design solutions and facilitate development with clients. This person will also participate in the research, design and development of a J2EE-based applications and components. This person will also build, deploy and integrate J2EE-based web applications using IBM WebSphere and IBM Httpd Web server.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Required Experience/Technologies:

� J2EE: Java, OO, Servlets, EJB (Transactions), Design Patterns, JSP Tag Libs
� Seven years of programming experience with a primary focus on object oriented design, analysis and programming using Design patterns, use cases, and iterative development process.
� Experience using the Apache Struts framework and MVC design patterns.
� WebSphere Studio Application Developer(WSAD) v4.x/v5.x.
� WebSphere Application Server (WAS) v4.x/v5.x.
� Oracle RDBMS.
� TopLink Object Relational Mapping Tool.
� DHTML (HTML, Javascript , CSS), XML.
� SOAP and/or other web services architectures.
� UML.
� CVS.
