In order to apply to this position, you must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

I am looking for several junior developers to join a cutting-edge team of open-source technology advocates. The primary responsibility for these roles will be to develop and integrate existing applications across an enterprise network while at the same time developing strategies for new applications. Candidates will be instrumental in helping to analyze and develop an open-source integration platform consisting of an ESB, a BPM Engine, a Rules Engine, all of which will be married to pure Java modules that handle, work items and queues, security and permissions, and user management.

Candidates MUST have software development experience with Java/J2EE and XML. Candidates must also have familiarity with implementing web services, as well as WS-Security standards. Pluses include: server experience JBoss and Apache; framework knowledge Hibernate, Spring, Struts, Acegi.

Candidates must be well spoken, eager to learn, and able to work both in team and singular environments.

Short-term Responsibilities:
Work with senior developers to continually research better open-source alternatives to current development and runtime tools
Analyze open-source tools and frameworks against a growing list of requirements and produce summary recommendations for appropriate usage and inclusion in a larger existing architecture
Develop proofs of concept to showcase performance and/or features of newly selected open-source solutions

Long-term Responsibilities:
Develop business processes by transforming requirements from business analysts
 Design highly customer-customizable workflow solutions
Integrate workflow-managed business processes with existing subsystems
Implement complex customized logic using a rules engine

Candidates will learn:
 BPEL-based process integration skills
Intricacies of heterogeneous web services and accompanying technologies
Unified messaging and complex data transformation via an enterprise service bus
Externalization of complex client customizations through a rules engine
 Single sign-on principles and implementation
Business activity monitoring and proactive responsible to failure

What I am looking for:
1-2 years of application server experience, preferably JBoss
1-2 years of integration experience in EAI or B2B
BPEL familiarity desirable, but minimally 1-yr of exp with some workflow engine
1 year of experience or more with web services
Some experience with messaging; knowledge of JMS and MDB concepts
Some experience with two application frameworks: Hibernate and Spring
Pluses: any experience with ESB-related products and/or business rules engines

Please send your word resume to steve@guin.com
