Technical Solutions Engineer, Mobile - Mountain View

Are you reading this job description on your phone? Google is seeking experienced Engineers to enhance Google�s mobile products to make them more useful for our partners. Using your experience developing applications for mobile devices and your in-depth knowledge of mobile application platforms, you will work with our Engineering team to enhance Google�s mobile products.
In addition, your thorough understanding of Web & wireless protocols will enable you to build tools that can help to diagnose and resolve problems before they impact our partners.


Requirements:

• Minimum of a BA/BS Computer Science or related technical degree (MSCS preferred).
• 3 + years industry experience in wireless software industry (experience working with mobile devices is a plus).
• Experience programming software in C/C++, J2ME, or BREW.
• Scripting in JavaScript, PHP, Python or Perl.
• In-depth knowledge of WAP, cHTML, XML/XSLT, HTTP, SSL, TCP/IP.
• Working knowledge of UNIX or GNU/Linux operating systems, relational databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with trends in wireless landscape design and development.
• Knowledge of mobile networks and wireless messaging (SMS, EMS, MMS) preferred.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated multitasking ability.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Must be proactive, self-directed, detailed, and organized.
• Must be able to learn quickly and get the job done in a high�visibility, high stress situation.
