POSITION SUMMARY Work as part of the core team building the asset management and publishing technologies for some of the biggest websites in the world. Responsibilities include design, implementation and maintenance of client and server based applications, code development, creation of project plan estimates, and production of detailed design documentation. Development environment requires adherence to engineering QA practices including configuration management, source control, unit testing, integration testing, and documentation of code. QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION �BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience. �7 or more years experience in software development. �Uses skills as a seasoned experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices & company policies & procedures. Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative and as well as practical ways. �Have wide ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. �Work on complex issues where analysis of situation or data requires an in depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED �Experience with Java technologies, XML, object-oriented analysis and design. �Content Management and Publishing experience a plus �Experience with Java technologies, XML, object-oriented analysis and design. �Hands on software modeling experience and application of standard methodologies. �Experience with Java servlet server solutions, templating technologies. �Experience in designing database applications, preferably, MS SQL, including schema definition, SQL scripting and application interfaces to DBMS data �Experience in designing for performance, scalability and high availability, and the tools/methodology involved �Experience with writing functional and technical specifications �Excellent analytical and problem solving skills �Proficient in use of scripting and utility tools such as ANT, Perl, etc �Proficient in standard networking protocols such as HTTP, TCPIP/UDP & Multicast. �Proficient in web scripting languages such as HTML/css, XML, php and JSP �Experience with networking technologies and system/application debugging �Ability to complete tasks on time and in budget within a climate of frequent market change and shifting needs; ability to do so with minimal management oversight �Ability to effectively communicate across a broad range of stakeholders, including customers, QA, operations, engineering, management, etc Please apply online at: http://agilerecruiter.com/agilecan/starthere.php?job=77 [ May 19, 2006: Message edited by: fred rosenberger ]
