Job Description - to $120-125k

Research, analyze, architect and then develop proprietary software utilizing core Java technologies within the core of the highly talented and exceptional product development team. In this position, the candidate will be working on production released code for our commercially available software products; what you create will be used!

Qualifications
Technical
A minimum of 5 years experience in a software development role utilizing the following technology: J2EE, JAVA, Servlets, JSP, Tomcat (or JBOSS, WebSphere, WebLogic), XML.
A minimum of 2 years experience developing commercial software.
Expert knowledge of Java and JavaScript (prototypes, etc)
We use our own proprietary Object Database; experience with object databases is a bonus.
Ability to proposed changes and new architectures to back end and middle tier API's . Work with other Developers to enhance API's
Experience working as an integral part of a development team while troubleshooting and resolving related issues found in QA or Support
Ability to deliver Technical Documentation of architecture and design to Development Management and Chief Architect
Ability to independently learn new "technology X" in several days when necessary
Ability to be "parachute-dropped" into an existing source code base and be able to digest then enhance
Social

Ability to listen, identify problems and come up with solutions
Ability to ask questions when "stuck" on a difficult problem
Ability to collaborate with other programmers. (no one "owns" any source code, all code is common)
Ability to work in collaboration with non-technical Product Designers

Educational
Candidates with a Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science/Mathematics
are PREFERRED!

Shouldn't it be the other way around? And if the developers are doing the design, what's the architect doing?
