What to Do If I Do Not Want Text to be Hard Coded in HTML?

I have learned to use the cascading style sheet (CSS) to control the presentation of my HTML web page. And I can also control the font, color, etc. of "the text" in the HTML web page by using CSS.

What if I do not want "the text" to be hard coded in the HTML file? Do I give a logical name of "the text" in the HTML file; say [ProjectName.UTC.Register.RequestDetails.BasicUnit]? Do I provide "the actual text" in CSS? How do I provide the actual text in CSS?

Eric, you mean using technique which called "javascript triggers"?
Another solution is using dynamic server side webpages
