Disable a button depening on hidden element

how can I disable/enable a button depending on hidden field element. On load form I have disable the button.

If you are using a server side language and you are setting the value of the hidden element there, then you really should be disabling the button there and not using JavaScript to do it.

BUT for some strange unsecured reason you want to do this

window.onload=function(){
  if(document.formName.elementName.value == "XYZ")
    document.formName.elementName.disabled = true;
}

Thanks its done...
Acutally I used because when the page is first loaded the button should be disabled and once its save and reposted the button should be enabled.

I have used
buttonflag="<c ut value="${projectForm.buttonflag}" />";
to get the button value.
