Gray fields javascript?

I have 3 input fields "onfocus" in one off the fields i have to gray the two other fields out....

How do i do that with javascript, change the style on the input field or ??

Do anyone have a example i can use

you have to use the disabled property

document.formName.elementName.disabled = true;

Problem with this is what if the person messed up and typed in the wrong field, how do they change it?

Dont work, can this be becouse the td element is in a table, and on the table i have a class" " on the table ???

document.formName.elementName.disabled = true; deals with a form field and not with a table. It does not matter where the form field is on the page.

Not sure what your problem is then.

When most people say gray here they mean disabled.

then set a css class instead....
...className = "yourClass";
