mobile Ajax?

Ajax has been compared w/ Flash or Flex and I'm wondering if there is anything that would make Ajax a compelling technology for mobile based apps as well (compared with Mobile Flash).

The support of Ajax from what I have seen exists. Opera (as already mentioned) has been good about this, as has Microsoft, and Nokia. Albeit Nokia only supports Ajax in their 770 Tablet device. I think some of their smart phones will support it eventually. For the rest it depends on if the browser is from Opera or Microsoft.

Though having Ajax does not mean we can have the same page being presented as one would see on my 1900x1200 LCD screen. It means we can use the same programming techniques, but two different representations need to be generated.

If I may gripe, what I really hate about Web sites these days is that with my 1900x1200 screen I have to use the vertical scroll more than I want to! And with my cell phone 320x240 screen I have to use the horizontal scroll more than I want to!
