Job Title: Senior Java/FIX Developer
Industry:Electronic Commodities Exchange
Duration: Permanent / Direct
Start Date: 2 weeks after receiving an offer.
Interview:Qualified candidates will be interviewed within 24 hours.
Compensation: Base Salary + 20% Annual Bonus
(NOTE: We will discuss the Annual Bonus during our initial phone conversation.)

As a Senior Java/FIX Developer, you will support and extend a major application in our trading infrastructure. This role requires frequent interaction with software developers, testers, product managers, helpdesk professionals, and external customers in order to ensure that we deliver a quality-trading platform to our users.

� Support our Financial Information Exchange (FIX) protocol, with CameronFIX as the FIX Engine.
� Design and implement new functions.
� Continuous evaluation and improvement of application performance
� Work with business analysts in understanding new requirements.
� Follow company software development processes and standards.
� Study new technology and remain technically current.

� Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
� Experience with Windows, Linux and Solaris.
� 5 + years experience in the IT industry working in the area of product and/or application development.
� 3 + years role as senior Java or J2EE developer, preferably on one or more large, highly transactional systems deployed and used in production.
� Strong knowledge in each of the following: Java, J2EE technologies, Java Servlets, JMS, JDBC, distributed computing, and ANT.
� Good working knowledge of messaging middleware
� Strong knowledge and experience in team development using Java.
� Good working knowledge of software testing and building high quality software.
� Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment, and deliver production quality software within tight schedules.
� Must possess good verbal and written communication skills, and have a proven track record producing and reviewing use cases, providing estimates, and organizing tasks.
� Experience with security packages such as JAAS, SSL, etc., a plus.
� Experience with software testing tools, regression testing, performance testing, a plus.
� Experience with Open-Source Technologies is a plus, e.g.: Hibernate, Jakarta Commons, Spring Framework, HiveMind, JUnit, Eclipse, JMX and experience with JMX management/monitoring tools, a plus.
� Knowledge of trading environments or one year exposure to financial sector preferred.
