Hi,

Does this book make use of third party libraries, for example prototype, rico, etc? Also, since AJAX can be tied to any serverside language, how does this book make use of its focus on php (ie are there specific libraries or methods that make it easier to use php over a different language). Thanks!

Your question would be answered if you looked at the book on Amazon. The Authors' PLOG there has most of it answered.

The book's focus is mainly on AJAX as a technology and less on a specific framework. We are having an example of how we can use script.aculo.us's drag'n'drop functionality but the rest of the examples are built from the scratch with no use of an existing client framework.
