You will be responsible for design and maintenance of UI designs for our J2EE application. This role demands ahigh percentage of hands-on development, UI design skill, and general web-based tools proficiency. As an individual contributor (this is not a management role), you will work with the product manager and the development engineers.

Reports to: Human Factors and Interfaces Team Leader

  • User Interface design, reviews, and adherence to consistent user interface standards

  • Continually look for ways to improve the usability of the user interface, ease of configuration, and customization across product-line reuse of resources (images, css, etc.)

  • Mockup new applications/screens for approval by product management and for use by developers in implementing new features

  • Required Experience
  • 3 years of user interface design
  • 2 years of experience in design and development of web-based applications
  • Experience building rich internet applications
  • Experience with the complete software development lifecycle
  • Major Pluses to Have
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Having worked with Rational Clear Case and Clear Quest is a plus
  • Experience with object-oriented design and analysis
  • Knowledge and experience with the HR domain
  • Experience working with a team of software engineers on a Tapestry UI project using XML and XSLT is highly desirable
  • Experience working in a J2EE environment
