Yes, chapter 4 surveys the Ajax capabilites of Protoype and the Dojo toolkit, along with jQuery and DWR.

Of course this chaper is not a comprehensive tutorial on the complete capabilities of all those libraries -- that could take a complete book for each -- but we focus on the Ajax-enabling portions of the libraries.
