Hi,
I was going through AJAX tutorial. There it is mentioned
"AJAX is a browser technology independent of web server software".

I would like to know how AJAX is independent of web server.

Thanks.

Because all you are doing is using an HTTP Request [Post,Get,etc.] to send information back to the browser. As long as your favorite serverside language can handle that, you can use the XMLHttpRequest Object.

Yup. You can use Ajax on the front end with almost any modern server and server side language (i.e. php, asp, cfm, java, RoR, asp.net...).

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
