We have a client that is looking to do a 6 month contract to hire for an Enterprise Architect. This person will be a tactical as well as strategic thinker. Essential duties include leading the development of the architectural guidance for projects, including application and service templates, technology standards and rules that apply for the projects, and ensure they are followed for components that are developed or enhanced by the projects. Assist with the development of architectural guidelines and standards for the Railinc enterprise. Ensure individual projects adhere to established enterprise and industry standards. Investigate and propose technologies to be used through research of emerging technologies and through identifying industry leaders for information sharing. Will interact with customers and communicate throughout the organization. Will do occasional coding.
REQUIRED: At least 5 years experience as an enterprise or solutions or project architect. Systems and application architecture experience. Object oriented programming experience using Java (J2EE, EJB, Web Services)
Object oriented design using UML, understanding Design Patterns, and use of a modeling tool. Understanding and use of database management systems (Oracle & DB2 preferred). Understanding and use of Web Services (SOAP, XML, UDDI, WSDL. Experience with defining, using, and developing XML schemas. IBM Websphere and RAD/WSAD. Experience with MQ Series
