Can anyone tell me where can I find standard DTDs? I want one for the manufacturing plant.

*First at all: DTD would disappear, the remplacement is XML Shema that is a XML and type-specified format
*The OASIS organization provides standards for XML (DTDs) for E-business, security, ...
OASIS stands for (Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards)
This e-business standards are the ebXML specification that is a standard in order to exchange agreements in a sales relation.
http://www.oasis-open.org/ http://www.ebxml.org/specs/index.htm

*RosettaNet is another consortium, but for Information Technology, Electronic Components and Semiconductor Manufacturing companies. It has a standard too. The aim is to standardize the process for the supply chain between several actor (Have U stock for this type of chip ? How many ? How much ?, etc ...) http://www.rosettanet.org/
*Others standards for specialized domains:
Bolero.net : for bank & finance.
GCIP (Global Commerce Internet Protocol) for distributors
FIXML (FIX organization) & FinXML (Financial Information eXchange Markup Language)for finance
FpML (Consortium FpML) : Financial Product Markup Language : for finance
OFX (Open Financial Exchange) : exchange of financial data
XFRML (eXtensible Financial Reporting Markup Language) for comptability
BIPS (Bank Internet Payment System) for bank
*previous standards are vertical (specialized domain) specifications, a horizontal specification is aimed to be a language between several differents domains
OAGIS is the horizontal spec. of OAG (Open Application Group)
most famous horizontal specification but proprietary are
cXML commerceXML from ARIBA product
XCBL (XML Common Business Library) of COmmerceOne
I am sure there are other XML specifications ... but how many would be used in the near future?

Thanks.

A lot of people cry when they cut onions. The trick is not to form an emotional bond. This tiny ad told me:
