I am developing a intranet application where I need to upload
files from client PC to the intranet server. The client files are generally Word / Excel files containing some objects (Graphs/Images). Client saves the files using 'Save as web page'. So the files get saved with sub directory containing 'gif' files for the objects. I would like to upload these files giving 'Upload' form to the Client where he will give the file name (the HTML file name in which he has saved the doc). I want the script which can upload all the files in the subdirectory also using long name. I am using HTML and Perl for my intranet applications.

Normally when I see off-topic posts like this I respond with the following message:

This forum is intended for questions and comments about this web site, www.javaranch.com. It is not for questions about the Java language - that's what all our other forums are for.

However in this case, it doesn't sound like your question has anything to do with Java either, so it's unclear why you are posting here. I suggest you post this to our Meaningless Drivel forum, since that's for miscellaneous non-Java posts. Or better yet, find a Perl discussion group. Good luck...
