All
I am a newbie in this forum. Heard about XP whilst going through some javaworld articles. Wanted to know some more about it. Can the veterans and the commandos out there point me in the right direction.
Also would appreciate feedback on the folks who have used XP. What do they feel about it.
Also is there a hands on book for XP

Lancy,
Me not an XPert myself, but this is where and how I got started
www.extremeprogramming.org
This is the mother of all XP sites, XPlains all the details of XP XPlicitly. www.xprogramming.com
There are links to Uncle Martin's articles on this site itself http://javaranch.com/campfire/StoryGhosts.jsp
For some dramatic effect, go to http://www.objectmentor.com/publications/xpepisode.htm
( it is demo on XP practices (?), certainly food for thought, or sermon, junilu ?
Last but not the least, keep coming back to this forum for new insights.

In what order would you recommend reading the XP books? Perhaps this is common knowledge, but it's something I don't know.

Paul , no problems. Since , the methodology is proposed by the visionary , the great oops supremo Kent Beck , he has given detailed account of XP in his book , XP Exaplined is the best source of book to start with.
You can go through various sites mentioned by Sowmya. You will find good introductory articles there.
Then , we are having the great methodologist Mr. Fowler who is participating in this week's give away , his book along with Mr. Beck "Planning XP " should be the next book ( XP series ). Plus Mr. Fowler has got many good articles on his site.
Another book is by Mr. Ron Jeffries who was implementor of C# project has book titled " XP installed ".
I hink these are the books available right now.
I hope this will be useful.
