Does this book cover about software development process(SDLC) or what is this book all about?
As for the SDLC, we tend to focus on the "back-end" processes such as construction,
testing, and deployment and less on requirements. My assertion in the book is to:
1) Take fundamental software development practices: building your software, testing your software, inspecting your software, rebuilding your database/data, and deploying it into the target environment (e.g.
Tomcat on a particular machine)
2) Make these processes automatic by running them with a scripted, automated build
3) Make it continuous to increase visibility and feedback so that all team members know the status of the software under development (from a single source)
