Can we hide a java or any application running in Windows NT/2000 on the background, so that it's not visible on the taskbar?
Or in other words is it possible to run a job in background in Windows NT/2000?

This forum is for "programming puzzles, challenges, interview questions, and similar fun". This thread doesn't fall into any of those categories so I'm moving it to General Computing. Please post followup responses there.

I got it on a different forum.

Invoke the app using javaw instead of java
