Windows

cd to your ORACLE_HOME directory (look in the registry for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - SOFTWARE - ORACLE - HOMEn where n is a number 0 upwards since you can have multiple ORACLE_HOMES).

For Oracle8i its in the NET80\ADMIN subdirectory

For Oracle9i its in the network\admin subdirectory

UNIX

For 9i

cd to $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin

I haven't got an 8i DB to look at but I suspect it's

$ORACLE_HOME/net80/admin
