Welcome to this week's book giveaway! Honoured to have you here in the most secure watering hole in town -- hope you have a few pleasant and informative discussions
A warm welcome to everyone else too; remember that to make a chance in the giveaway you need to have a valid display name. And your questions or contributions have to be vaguely on-topic as well And now I suppose I'd better get behind the bar again...
Have fun,
- Peter

Is there any examples in the book using Java with LDAP?

Thanks for the welcome. Hope that I can provide some useful insight in this forum.
As for the book, the first part deals with LDAP concepts, the second part deals with integration (mostly with Perl examples for doing things like moving tabular data into LDAP, etc...), and the final part uses the Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI) to show how to LDAP-enable a Java applicationt to use directories. It also spends some time with DSML, which is an XML standard related to LDAP.
So the short answer is that yes, it does have Java examples.
